The Medal of the Immaculate Conception, popularly known as the Miraculous Medal, is unique among all medals.
The Miraculous Medal was created in response to a request from the Blessed Virgin Mary, who entrusted us with our mission. It was given by the Blessed Virgin Mary herself! No wonder, then, that it gives such extraordinary graces to those who wear it and pray for Mary’s intercession and help. Our Lady manifested the Medal to St. Catherine Labouré on November 27, 1830, in the motherhouse of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, in Paris.
14 Karat Gold:
Our 14 Karat Gold is composed of 58.3 percent pure gold and is ideal for fine jewelry. Other alloys, such as copper, are mixed in with the gold to give more of a red warm hue. This also gives the medal the strength. Since gold is a natural element, it is very durable. We do recommend removing the jewelry if it may come in contact with chemicals. To clean gold jewelry, use warm water and detergent-free soap and a soft brush.
Bliss Manufacturing stands behind its’ jewelry and honors a lifetime guarantee. Our Medals are sprayed with a lacquer coating to protect the finish. Should any of our medals or chains tarnish or have defects, we will either repair or replace free of charge. Avoid exposing the medals to household cleaners or chlorinated water. These chemicals can damage the medal.
